Meet-the-Author Movie: Toni Morrison

This month we remember ground-breaking author Toni Morrison (1931-2019), who urged us to remember those who fought for a more just society. Watch our two-minute mini-documentary in which Morrison introduces her book, Remember: The Journey to School Integration (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2004) by showing the impact of the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision on the lives of young people then and now.

Meet-the-Author Recording: Lee Bennett Hopkins

We also remember good times with the celebrated poet Lee Bennett Hopkins, who also passed on this week.
