August 2020 Edition
NEW Educator Tools
In our quest to powerfully enrich connections to books and authors — particularly during this time when efficiencies seem more vital than ever — TeachingBooks has developed new tools to empower and simplify your literature outreach and support.
Dive in and enjoy. And if you would, please drop me a note with your insights and responses. I'd love that.
We hope these new components keep personalizing and adding joy to the children's and young adult books read in your community.
With health and well wishes,
Nick Glass, TeachingBooks Founder & Executive Director

Listen In with Matthew Winner & The Children's Book Podcast
Charles Waters is the co-author (or co-poet, if you like) of Dictionary for a Better World: Poems, Quotes, and Anecdotes from A-Z (Carolrhoda Books, 2020). And this might be the book I'll be handing most to teachers and students this year. Its unique format approaches social justice and global change through poems. It's an invitation for readers to think critically about their world. Plus, Charles performs some of the poems and it is awesome!
