June 2021 Edition

Games!

TeachingBooks is launching a series of online games for students of all ages to have fun connecting with books and authors. First up, the memory card game Concentration!

With this kidlit version of Concentration, you can match images of book covers to themselves—or match photos of authors to their book covers. What's particularly nifty about this TeachingBooks version is that you get to personalize the book cover selections with lists and awards of your choosing.

Imagine taking the titles from your syllabi, classroom collection, or battle booklist, and dropping them into this game. It is simple to do with your TeachingBooks booklists, and you can track how many turns it takes for you and your students to complete the matches.

Have fun! Over the next few months, we'll launch more games for you to enjoy, too.

Let me know what you think.
