Have You Met? New Shelf Talkers are Available!

Invite readers to meet authors while browsing for books with Shelf Talkers. These are now available for ALL authors who have a name pronunciation on TeachingBooks.

Learn the correct pronunciation to honor book creators and initiate conversations regarding heritage and nicknames.

To access the shelf talkers go to any author name pronunciation page. Select the share arrow to choose the Shelf Talker icon and then print. Readers can scan the QR code using the camera on their device for a virtual author visit!

Text Complexity: Join the Conversation

In these webinars, we facilitate discussions about Text Complexity using rubrics from the TeachingBooks Toolkit. How do the purpose, text structure, language features, and knowledge demands all impact the reading of a text? We also consider the ways in which the author, speakers, and/or events in the text contribute to the inclusion of diverse voices.
