Resources for Deep Conversations

At TeachingBooks.net you can find resources that bring culture and race to the forefront of literary conversations with authentic, primary source instructional materials. Consider these examples:

  • Teach Diverse Books allows readers to identify exceptional multicultural books for all content areas
  • Explore What's in a Name? For grades K-12. Our activity cards can help open dialogue about identity. We have several "What’s in a Name?" ready-to-use activity sets to explore. These sets can be used at multiple grade levels (the levels listed indicate the grade levels of books written by the authors)
  • For more examples visit our Activities page
