Alexandria Giardino: Hi everyone. My name is Alexandria Giardino. I love my name. I chose it for myself when I became a writer. I chose the name Alexandria in honor of the great library in Egypt because I've always loved libraries. They have been a place of great joy and exploration for me ever since I could ride my bike to the local library.
Giardino means "garden" in Italian. My father's family is from Italy, and my Italian family has always had the most wonderful, abundant gardens full of artichokes, tomatoes, figs, and oregano. Put together, the name Alexandria Giardino means "a library in a garden," because those have always been my two favorite places.
