Implementation & Training Specialist

Job Purpose:

Train teachers, librarians, and other educators to successfully implement the TeachingBooks literacy service in schools, libraries, and universities throughout the US.

Qualifications:

Positive, organized, collaboratively minded professional educator who loves teaching and helping others, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Love of books, and experience in school libraries and/or providing virtual training to adults is preferred.

Reports to: Director of Implementation & Educational Support

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement outreach and training initiatives, including webinars, face-to-face training, and conference presentations.
  • Assist in the development of support and training materials including curriculum, print, and content.
  • Support licenses via online, phone, and email contact.
  • Assist customers with their wide range of questions.
  • Participate in planning, creating and implementing professional development materials to support social media outreach.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve customers' experiences.

Necessary Skills:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and passion for literature & teaching online and in person.
  • Communicate professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Exercise strong organization and technical skills, with attention to details.
  • Take initiative, working independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Be articulate, assertive, and excited about the TeachingBooks.net mission.

Terms of Employment:

Position is full-time with competitive salary and benefits, including health insurance.

Location:

This posting is for two full-time Implementation and Training Specialists. One can be based anywhere, remotely working with our implementation team and customers. And the other is ideally based in the Madison, Wisconsin office.

For both Implementation and Training Specialists, this position includes several days of travel throughout the United States to train and support customers.
