A lonely shepherd sees a star floating on the surface of a small pool and, convinced that the star won't like living on the barren, rocky hillside, begins gathering lovely things he finds on the wild mountain to the pond. Finally, he finds his home is full of beauty, visited by the friends he's made along the way.
